Adopt-a-Pug Monday: Izzy and Albert in Illinois
“My name is Izzy, and I’m four years old. My dog friend, Albert, is six years old. We both were abandoned here at SCAC when our owner said she was moving … somewhere without us. So, after years of living in a regular home, we’ve been uprooted and placed in a kennel. At least we have each other … but if you only want to adopt one of us, that’s OK, too. Real homes with families to love us are what we need. We are typical Pugs … playful little comedians who will delight you with our antics. Come meet us; ask for # 10-146 and # 10-147.”

He is about 20 weeks old now and ready for his new Pug friendly home. He should be a normal size Pug when he grows up. Poppy is in a foster home in Wichita, Kansas and will not be shipped. Requirements to adopt Poppy are as follows: His adopter will have to be in the Wichita Metro area or surrounding area; no out-of-state adopters because we need to do a home visit. A secure fenced yard is a must. A veterinarian reference is required showing that your present/past pets are up-to-date on shots, spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $100.00. For information on how to apply to adopt Poppy, please go to our website www.palsrescue.org”
ADOPT-A-PUG MONDAY!!! Rolo from Orlando, Florida:
Name: Rolo
Age: 2 to 3 years
Weight: 17 lbs
Likes: Playing chase or tug of war with my toys
Currently fostered in Orlando
Adopt fee: $300
This is the new love of my life, Rolo. He came out of a shelter with no name so we named him Rolo (like the Candy) because he is so sweet. The name suits him to a T. Rolo is great now, but after the shelter messed up his neuter surgery, it was pretty rough going for awhile. We ended up having to take him to an emergency clinic. Then he spent 5 days hospitalized at our vets office and had two corrective surgeries. The good news is: Hes fine now, happy as a clam and ready to be adopted. The bad news is: It cost Pug Rescue over a $1,000 to save him. Needless to say, we think he was worth every penny. Now all we need to do for this boy is find him the forever home he deserves. We think Rolo will fit in anywhere he can get and give love. He is very laid back and gets along with everyone. He is potty trained, loves to snuggle in bed at night, and rides well in the car. He will lay by you while you are on the computer or help you exercise with a good game of try to get my toy if you can. He is playful but not hyper at all .just an all around good guy. If you think you are the perfect match for this sweet pug boy, please send your application today to adopt him. If you love him but cant adopt him right now, please send a donation in his honor to help us pay for some of the medical expenses we incurred saving this sweetheart.
My Rescue friends are busy trying to find me and my otherfoster friends new homes, so please submit an application before contacting them about me. For more information or to download an application- please visit WWW.PUGRESCUEOFFLORIDA.ORG”
